At my home situated in the beautiful Wye Valley, on the borders of England and Wales, I produce calligraphy and artwork for both private and corporate individuals. My love of the ‘written hand’ developed early in childhood when I was given my first Osmiroid Italic Handwriting Set – I was hooked! However, after embarking on a career as a cartographer where I could practice my lettering and drawing skills creating maps by hand, it was some 14 years before I eventually pursued my passion for calligraphy whilst being a stay-at-home mum to my three young daughters, studying at evening classes for 2 years back in my then home county of Berkshire. Purely by chance, during this time I was approached by British Airways who were looking for a calligrapher to undertake a large project and hence came my very first commission, spurring me into developing a new a home-based business that I could fit around the family and which, in 2001, moved with me to the Wye Valley.
